Leveraging its partnership with Infovista, a leader in modern network performance, iBwave offers with iBwave Reach a powerful multi-technology outdoor network design solution that seamlessly integrates with iBwave’s industry-leading iBwave Design software. With support for emerging technologies – 4G / 5G / CBRS / IoT / Wi-Fi 6 – the addition of iBwave Reach gives iBwave customers a simple solution to simplify the design of their large multi-technology wireless campus networks with predictive accuracy that has a proven track record they can trust.

The new iBwave Reach accelerates the design and deployment of 5G networks both inside buildings and in the surrounding outdoor areas by eliminating the need for multiple time-consuming and expensive site visits for surveys. The powerful integrated solution of iBwave Reach and iBwave Design together accelerates the lifecycle of a project by up to 50% capable of fully integrated indoor and outdoor forecasting combined with a growing component database of over 35,000 network parts.

To assess accuracy, several pilot projects were conducted with iBwave customers to compare the iBwave Design and iBwave Reach end-to-end solution with the results obtained during the post-installation survey. All results showed that the predicted network performance results were within the dB range predicted by the post-installation survey results. With these results, iBwave customers can be confident that the campus networks they design using iBwave Reach will perform as expected, eliminating the need for costly troubleshooting and post-installation redesign.

iBwave Reach also integrates with most of the leading macro geodata tools on the market. During the pilot project phase, iBwave customers were able to successfully import their macro files into iBwave Reach. But even as a stand-alone solution, iBwave Reach is able to simulate macro-outdoor forecasts accurate up to 100 km 2 , adapting to extended environments such as smart cities and mines.
